Our Mission

MedhaUSA’s mission is to raise money for grassroots educational development projects for underprivileged children.

MedhaUSA is a subsidiary organization of Kallol of NJ. We are a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit initiative, using the power of our community  in America to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children.

About Us

MedhaUSA (formerly known as Kallol Womens Forum) was born from a desire to harness the strength of the immigrant Bengali community to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in our homeland. As a subgroup of Kallol, a large Bengali cultural organization in the nation, MedhaUSA is dedicated to using the power of community engagement to fund grassroots education projects. From our community to the communities we touch in India, we have made a difference, one step at a time. MedhaUSA began its journey with initiatives in India but over the past few years, we have broadened our reach. Medha now supports educational initiatives for underprivileged children in USA as well.

In 2018, MedhaUSA launched a Scholarship Program to provide assistance to students working our beneficiary organizations who have the merit but lack the financial ability to pursue higher education.
